I recently cleaned-up/redesigned a friend of mine's compay logo. They are actually one of the top siding companys in the Triangle area. . . I don't know why my friend wouldn't hire a professional graphic designer?
Ok, so here is my first real try at a photo restoration. It's a photo of my grandfather (Poppop) when he first joined the navy (at age 17). It may not be the best restoration, but its a start.
As it turns out. . . one of my images(above) will be included in an exhibition of art from area schools at this years Design, Arts, and Technology Symposium at UNC Greensboro. The event runs March 27th-29th. Here is a link to find out more about the DATS.
I don't normally recommend anything. . . to anyone: I just assume let people figure out what they want for themselves. This is the exception. I just purchased a 5 sheet pack of the Ilford Galerie Gold Fiber Silk inkjet paper. This is paper is without a doubt the finest paper I've ever printed on. The gamet is wonderful, the brightness is superb and the dynamic range is marvelous. The video will give you a little more information.
Just to let you know. . . I am finally done with school. Even though I won't technically graduate until August; all my classes are finally finished. So from here on out; there is really no telling what or how often I will be posting.
Here are a couple of shots from a recent project for school. I found these kids at Project 58, a (actually, I think its the only) indoor skate park here in Raleigh, NC. As usual these where captured with my D70 using a 28-70mm lens shot wide open (it is indoors after-all).
(and yes, the kid with the broken arm was there skating)
Ok, so I helped my sister shoot our "cousin"'s wedding (its a long story. . . which I'm not going to explain here). While I was happy to help. . . and actually got a couple of decent shots out of the whole thing: The experience mainly helped to cement my decision not to shoot weddings - ever. And so, from here on out. . . I don't think I will even help to shoot weddings. nothing personal.
These are from a relatively recent trip out on my buddy's boat. The first shot is of Drew Graham, the other three are Billy Sutton (he owns the boat). Neither of them had ridden for a while, so they let me try out shooting from the back of a boat; while they tried to get back in the groove with their riding. Overall, it was a pretty nice trip.
I am a freelance photo assistant. I've recently finished school and I am now back in Raleigh, NC; desperately trying to get work. This site is really just a place for me to show what I am up to (when I am actually up to anything).
